FOUNDER & LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR

Ebony Evans, LPC-S, NCC, M.Ed

I'm Ebony Evans, a proud New Orleans native. I earned my Master’s in Counseling Education from the University of New Orleans in 2011, and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2016 after completing extensive fieldwork. I also supervise provisional counselors as an LPC Board-approved supervisor.

In 2017, I opened Blossoming Minds to provide professional mental health services with a focus on accessibility and community awareness. I’m an active member of the Louisiana Counseling Association, American Counseling Association, and The Krewe of Evexia, where I support wellness initiatives.

When I’m not working, I’m committed to my own health journey through regular exercise, meal prepping, and spending quality time with family and friends. Fitness is my favorite self-care activity, but I also enjoy movies, music, and dancing as part of a balanced, fulfilling life.

Provisional Counselors

Provisional Licensed Professional Counselors (PLPCs) are mental health professionals who have completed a master’s degree, are registered with the state board, and are accruing supervised experience hours under a board-approved licensed supervisor. While working toward full licensure, PLPCs provide counseling services and, in our practice, are the dedicated providers currently accepting Medicaid. This allows us to extend high-quality, supervised care to clients utilizing Medicaid coverage.

Tekira Fox, M.S., PLPC

I am a dedicated mental health counselor with over 12 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges. With a background in social work, counseling, and education, I bring a well-rounded, compassionate approach to the therapeutic process. I am passionate about supporting both children and adults as they gain a deeper understanding of their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors while developing healthier coping skills and creating meaningful, lasting change.

Outside of my professional role, I am a business owner, proud mother of three, and loving grandmother of three. I am deeply involved in my community and enjoy creating and participating in spaces that encourage personal growth, healing, and self-reflection. I believe my purpose is to provide support, guidance, and encouragement while helping others overcome life's challenges and discover their strengths.
